The following is a non-exhaustive list of national (Spanish), European and International funding programs that offer contracts for postdocs, PhD students, or technicians to join a research group. Postdoctoral positions

• Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships: Funded by the European Commission for researchers wishing to conduct international mobility. More info.

• Juan de la Cierva Fellowship: Managed by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, these fellowships support young PhD graduates by facilitating two-year postdoctoral contracts at Spanish research organizations or R&D centers. The program has two modalities: Training (for recent PhD graduates) and Incorporation (for those with 2-5 years of experience). Provides a two-year contract. More info.

• AXA Research Fund: AXA offers Post-Doctoral fellowships aimed at supporting promising early-career researchers on a priority topic aligned with AXA and the Society. More info.

• Other Fellowships: The Spanish Ministery of Science, Innovation and Universities regularly updates its website with information on scholarship opportunities.

PhD candidates

• FPU (Formación del Profesorado Universitario) Fellowships: A competitive Spanish government-funded program for predoctoral training at universities or research centers. 

• FPI-UAM Fellowship: The FPI-UAM program funds PhD candidates to work on specific research projects at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). These contracts are linked to projects financed by public or private funding, and candidates must align their doctoral studies with the research project's objectives.

• Other Fellowships: The Spanish Ministery of Science, Innovation and Universities regularly updates its website with information on scholarship opportunities.

Master/Bachelor's thesis

We are happy to welcome students who want to develop projects related to the research lines of our laboratory. Students interested in doing a master/bachelor's thesis in my group should contact me.

For master students, the UAM and the Department of Biology offer scholarships covering tuition fees and/or a monthly financial support. More information can be found at the UAM grants website and on the website of the Department of Biology.
